The multi-language support was a great idea, but in reality is hard to do. When technical difficulties occur, back-up systems for commentating should be in place. Many commentators could not keep track of scores or player information. Because of this, they would give wrong information consistently. That can give the impression of laziness despite all of the hard work. It is simple to keep track of scores on paper for announcing when digital options fail.

I think the live broadcaster was definitely having a hard time. I have experience with live broadcasting, and from a content creator's perspective, there are many necessary skills for YouTube, which is very challenging. This is truly the latest integrated technology, so I want to commend this effort.

The matches went as expected, there were no surprises for me on that part at any point. I was cheering for the Mexico team, because one of their members is a student of the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Kendo Club, so we helped him prepare with lots of practice.
I wish the AJKC can learn from this taikai. They need to choose locations where technology like streaming can be used properly. Many of the streams did not work, audio would not work, video would just turn off.

It's a wonderful experience to have an acquaintance from your own school participate in a match. I had an acquaintance who was a referee. I was proud of my friend who was a referee at the world tournament.

The match between player Daihei and player James was reaching its climax! That excitement, that madness, is something that is rarely seen in Japan. If anything, it is often frowned upon. Of course, that also has its good points. But I think this madness is also one of the best parts. The players wrapped in a whirlwind of cheers and excitement are probably thinking that they can't get out of Kendo. Lol. Because they definitely want to be on that stage again. And the spectators watching them aren't just there to watch. They want to do Kendo! That's what they should be thinking. By the way, I was crying for some reason after the final. Whether I was happy or sad, it was the best match. It would be nice if there were world championships every day. Like professional baseball. Let's hype up the men's team as well!

Well, during the final match i was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Both were incredible fighters so it risulted in a very long encho. As foreigners we're not used to japanese style of kendo, it's amazing and lovely to watch. I hope to see other epic fights tomorrow. Ganbatte Kudasai, nihon!
